A Little Bit About Murray

Hailing from the South Burnett region, Murray knows cattle farming, cattle showing and grass and legume growing better than anyone!

A true Australian Cattleman, serving on several Boards including the Charbray Cattle Board of Australia. Murray is an eminent Australian Primary Producer winning many accolades over the years including winning prizes for his Stud and Prime Cattle. He has also won Grand Champion Charbray Bull at the Brisbane Ekka!

But his talents don’t end there, Murray also won the SEQRRA Steer Wrestling Title in 1987.

Murray has always had a deep understanding of the agricultural requirement to feed cattle the best possible grasses and legumes in order to produce the best possible Australian Beef. He transfers this expertise into his knowledge and understanding of grasses and lawn care maintaining properties in Brisbane over the last +10 years with Murray’s Gardening and Maintenance.

He also has a soft side! Murrays other interests include golf, travelling and all things horticulture, including the intricate skill of Orchid culture and the scientific nature of breeding orchids. Murray has also won several awards for his Orchid growing talents and serves as a judge at international, national and local events.

Orchid Culture

Amassing a huge knowledge in Orchid growing & showing, Murray has been breeding Orchids for over 15 years. Murray is an International Orchid judges and have judged at shows at local, national, and international level, recently judging at the World Orchid Show & Exhibition in Hawaii.

Entering multiple competitions, Murray has won many accolades such as Grand Champion, Overall Class Champion, Best overall specimen plant, Grand Champion specimen, Reserve Champion, Best in Show and many other first, second & third placements in various competitions.

Did you know that we have also planned, created & installed decorative floral art displays using Phalaenopsis, Cattleyas, Vandaceous, and Dendrobium Orchids.

We have built Orchid displays for national and international competitions, weddings, funerals, anniversaries, birthday celebrations and convention centre pieces, and more.
